At an event organized by the Mexican Business Council of Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE) and the Ministry of Economy, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam was invited, Do Thang Hai, who revealed his country’s plans for the future, plans to raise trade with Mexico to $10 billion by 2025. Vietnam claims to seek a better in bilateral trade, and its main objective is to promote the sectors of and energy, communications, high-tech agriculture and high value-added industries. It should be noted that, although there is currently a bilateral relationship between these countries, there is a great imbalance in the trade of products, because the exports of Vietnam to our country are 8,608 million dollars and Mexican exports are just 127 million dollars in 2021. Clearly there is a big difference between one number and another, but Mexico requires a large number of products such as telephones, liquid crystal devices, computer parts, iron and steel products, telephone parts, microphones and footwear. While Vietnam consumes mostly leather from Mexico, phones, liquid crystal devices, computer parts, iron and steel products, telephone parts, microphones and footwear.
Vietnam has proved to be an exemplary country in terms of trade, as it is one of the economies with a rapid growth, both in the Pacific Asia, and in the world, it is worth mentioning that this country was one of the economies that best adapted to the Covid19, that is why Mexico sees this country as a market with a growing consumption and a market with a high potential to generate trade in the best way.
